One day I should make one of these posts and have it consist of a bunch of pictures of sausage. But now I can’t because I just gave it away.

Politics

  * [In robocall, white nationalist calls on Vermonters to back Trump](http://www.sevendaysvt.com/OffMessage/archives/2016/02/25/in-robo-call-white-nationalist-calls-on-vermonters-to-back-trump) -- "But don't call me a racist," the guy says over and over.
  * [Black Lives Matter activists interrupt Hillary Clinton at private event in South Carolina](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/clinton-black-lives-matter-south-carolina_us_56ce53b1e4b03260bf7580ca) -- Clinton is confronted with her own words and doesn't take too kindly to it.
  * [Poll: nearly 40 percent of Florida voters think Ted Cruz might be the Zodiac Killer](http://gawker.com/poll-nearly-40-percent-of-floridians-think-ted-cruz-mi-1761428903?utm_campaign=socialflow_gawker_twitter&utm_source=gawker_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow) -- Anything is possible...
  * [Donald Trump supported by former KKK leader David Duke: "I hope he does everything we hope he will do"](http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/trump-endorsed-kkk-neo-nazis-america-white-article-1.2543847?dldosl&utm_content=bufferbbee6&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=NYDailyNewsTw) -- Donald Trump, the choice of white nationalists everywhere!
  * [Ted Cruz coaching his family through a campaign ad is awkward as hell](http://www.vice.com/read/ted-cruz-coaching-his-family-through-a-campaign-ad-is-awkward-as-hell-122) -- See him bully his own mother into telling a childhood story about him.
  * [John Kasich: "I'm not exactly sure what the goal is"](http://blogs.rollcall.com/opinion-analysis/john-kasich-im-not-exactly-sure-what-the-goal-is/) -- What a bizarre campaign.
  * [Why Bernie Sanders' campaign makes me worry about how he'll manage the White House](http://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2016/2/22/11086292/bernie-sanders-political-revolution-wonks) -- Short version: he doesn't have a lot of experience in administration, and would have to rely on a solid team of advisors and aides which he hasn't assembled yet--and we have no way of knowing who they'd be. Sanders is also uninterested in hearing the weak points or particular implications of his ideas.
  * [Lessons for the Supreme Court from the Jedi Council](http://www.newyorker.com/news/daily-comment/lessons-for-the-supreme-court-from-the-jedi-council) -- Rather tongue-in-cheek but well worth reading.
  * [Why the Democratic establishment fears Bernie Sanders](https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/why-the-democratic-establishment-fears-bernie-sanders/2016/02/19/2323482e-d70c-11e5-be55-2cc3c1e4b76b_story.html) -- He's not really raising any money for the party, which dramatically limits how much he can help downticket candidates. It takes money to run campaigns and the Presidential candidates are usually the best fundraisers. Those who don't help the party itself gain access to money damage the party overall.
  * [Clinton, Sanders spar over their sparring](http://www.cbsnews.com/news/hillary-clinton-bernie-sanders-not-a-democrat-before-white-house-run/) -- And then pundits spar over the sparring over their sparring.
  * [Three reasons why things will get harder for Bernie Sanders](http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/02/three-reasons-why-things-will-get-harder-for-bernie-sanders-213591) -- Essentially, the campaign's "all or nothing" approach may ultimately hinder its broader appeal.

Film

  * [Murder is legal and torture is mandatory, because _Gods of Egypt_ exists](http://io9.gizmodo.com/murder-is-legal-and-torture-is-mandatory-because-gods-1761496886) -- I think this person didn't enjoy the movie.
  * [Ellen Page on her sweet, distressing, heart-wrenching new LGBTQ travel show](http://www.slate.com/blogs/outward/2016/02/24/ellen_page_interviewed_about_gaycation_on_viceland.html) -- Definitely something I should give a watch soon.

Media

  * [Melissa Harris-Perry walks off her MSNBC show after pre-emptions](http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/27/business/media/melissa-harris-perry-walks-off-her-msnbc-show-after-pre-emptions.html?_r=1) -- It sure sounds like her show has been taken away from her without any official statement. Considering all the other MSNBC shows canceled in the past year or so, hers may soon be another casualty.

Social Justice

  * [Clothing line honors black intellects with their own fictional colleges](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/this-clothing-line-honors-black-intellects-with-their-own-fictional-college_us_56cc994ae4b0ec6725e40e39) -- These are really cool.
  * [Georgetown Law professors say students are "traumatized" by criticisms of Scalia, demand "remedies"](https://theintercept.com/2016/02/23/georgetown-law-professors-complain-conservative-students-are-traumatized-by-criticisms-of-scalia-demand-remedies/) -- Because when someone is criticized for being a demonstrably awful person, this produces exactly the same feelings that minorities experience when they encounter bigotry? Give me a break.
  * [Indiana man called alleged hatchet attack on Chinese exchange student "ethnic cleansing"](https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/02/23/indiana-man-called-alleged-hatchet-attack-on-chinese-exchange-student-ethnic-cleansing/) -- No doubt he will dismissed as merely "mentally ill."

Tech

  * [Edward Snowden describes how the FBI could physically extract passcode from iPhone chip without Apple's help](http://9to5mac.com/2016/02/22/fbi-iphone-hack-chip-de-capping/) -- It's a tricky process that can easily fail, but it's fascinating (and scary) to know it's possible.

Health

  * [More proof the HPV vaccine is working: infection rates in teenage girls dropped 64 percent](http://www.vox.com/2016/2/22/11094218/hpv-vaccine-effective) -- And this is without anywhere near full adherence to the vaccine protocol. If all boys and girls got the shot, rates would likely plummet much further.
  * [Directed evolution of a recombinase that excises the provirus of most HIV-1 primary isolates with high specificity](http://www.nature.com/nbt/journal/vaop/ncurrent/full/nbt.3467.html) -- A new method has been devised that destroys HIV-1 viruses before they've even finished forming. Pretty wild stuff.
  * [Mobile phones are "cooking" men's sperm](http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/health/news/12167957/Mobile-phones-are-cooking-mens-sperm.html) -- Male birth control? There's an app for that!
  * [E-cigs are exploding in vapers' mouths, leaving gruesome injuries](http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/health/exploding-e-cigarettes-send-vapers-to-harborview-with-gruesome-injuries/) -- Ouch. And they were supposed to be safer!

Economics

  * [Still think America is the "land of opportunity"? Look at this chart](https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/02/22/still-think-america-is-the-land-of-opportunity-look-at-this-chart/?hpid=hp_regional-hp-cards_no-name%3Ahomepage%2Fcard) -- A college degree is valuable, but still less valuable if you don't have rich parents. One's earning power _even with_ a college degree is starkly limited if one was born to poor parents. Once again, evidence that networking is at least as valuable as education.
