One Week In

It’s officially a week since I started this blog. Sunday seems like as good a day as any to write about the blog itself–a low-traffic day is the best time for self-indulgence, right?

I’ve not yet figured out what the day to day rotation should be. Maybe there shouldn’t be one. I’ve settled on Saturday as “link roundup” day, and perhaps Sunday works for posts like this, where I discuss the blog itself–what I’ve done, what I plan to do in the future.

The truth is that I don’t know where this will go. Not a lot of people read this and it’s likely not a lot of people ever will. I’m OK with that. I’m just one voice and there are plenty of other worthy voices out there. But if someone does stumble across this little space, I hope they find something to connect with.

The appearance of this site is by no means final. I am, in fact, using the default Wordpress theme, and it shows. I’ll have to put something more attractive in place, but first I need a good number of posts so there’s actually something to show off. I’d rather not dress up an empty house, as it were.

I’m not yet certain if I can keep up my current pace. If I intend to do National Novel Writing Month in November, as well, the combination of the two may not be sustainable. I guess we’ll see. I haven’t even settled on which novel I will write, though I have a few ideas.

I don’t have much else to say about the blog at this point, but I do have a request of anyone reading: comment with any particular topics you’d like to see me write about. Almost anything is fair game, although I can’t guarantee I’ll write about it exactly the way you’d like. It is my blog, after all.
